About Develop Things
In one form or another, Develop Things has been around since the early days of the web. While studying Computer Science at the University of Central Florida in 1996, I started a small software company called Cartoon Logic.
I enlisted a high school buddy, Jason Koi, to help design user interfaces and new applications. We started developing websites and integrating the web into our shareware software. We put features in our shareware that are pretty common today—like updating a database using a resource on the web—but we did it way back in 1996, before web services became standardized and popular.
In 1998, I left college to develop for a small legal software company where I again enlisted Jason to help write database migration software while he studied Computer Science and Music at the University of Georgia.
In April of 2010, after seven years of managing IT teams, I decided it was time to get back to doing what I really loved—developing things for the web. I started Develop Things, LLC and stop me if you heard this story…I asked Jason if he would like to work with me once again.
We love to create new things, explore new ideas and help our clients and partners succeed in their business goals. I hope you will give us a chance to work with you too.
